The monitor has a VGA and DVI port, but no HDMI port.
To connect the X1 Carbon to this monitor I therefore bought deliberately a HDMI to DVI cable from Belkin (F3Y005bt1.8M) in an electronic shop. Anyway, the monitor (Samsung SyncMaster SA450) I wanted to connect to still doensn't work.
